What?
Hey guys! I am so surprised to tell you what me and my family saw this morning. I don't know what this little guy was doing in our back yard this morning, he was all alone just eating all the green grass that was left in our yard, I know what your probably asking, what is it? well it was a duck, A big white and gray duck I tried to get some pictures through the window so I didn't have to go outside and scare it away but it was to blurry. So I tiptoed outside to get some closer pictures and was surprised he wasn't scared of me! he just stared at me wondering what I was doing, I got a

good picture of him.....
Hello there!

I can't figure out how to add the other picture of him/her flying away :( but I will find some way to add it on here tomorrow! :D

Happy(late)Thanksgiving!
Happy Thanksgiving everyone! I meant to say this yesterday but I was to busy setting the table and making a pumpkin center piece.
So so sorry for less and less updates. So a LOT of news happened! First news is that a new family member is joining our family on December 29th.... A puppy! We are getting little newborn yellow lab puppy, we have to wait at lease 4 weeks and three days before we can get it and December 29th just happens to be on my dads birthday!! (Sorry about the !!!'s) We choose a name for it already and its name is "Mack" it rhythms with Jack our old dog that passed away last year. Its a boy and it can't get any cuter than it already is I wish I had some pictures of it but I didn't bring my camera. The other news is winter has come and me and my big huge dog Samson are already going sledding on an inch of snow! We do this every winter the winter we got him he went with me and my dad to go sledding on a big hill somewhere near Wolf Creek, he was a puppy so he could fit on the sled and we had so much fun! I hope we do that this year too. Next news is that our little mud puddle that is always in our drive way is so frozen I can jump on it without breaking the ice. Next news is sad, We harvested all the veggies we could get from our green house. We made a bunch of sauce and salsa and did a lot of canning. We just took down all the plastic on the green house so it wouldn't collapse from the snow. I will update the next news lots of pictures next time and I promise!

Thank you for reading the news today!

Too cute to look at!
We have some new little friends on the farm! They are tiny cute and fluffy and soft and they still smell like egg shell! Here They are!
Photo: Had a hen who was living in the barn. Thought she was just being rebellious but today we figured out what she was up to! Seven little newcomers to the farm! Who knew that they could do it all themselves. She's a great mom!
7 little fluff balls smaller than an apple!

I cant look at that picture without marching up to the barn and cuddling with them!

OK so the other news is....

Milking alone.
Well the story to this is its hunting season and that means the men are gone for a long time and it also means I lost my milking buddy! So while dad is hunting I milk Cookie Doe all by myself. and I have a chicken for company! her name is Henretta and she fallows me up to the barn and kicks up dirt to find seeds and goat feed in the straw! The only thing is that the mother hen with her chicks attacks her if she gets to close. But I have some company and I am thankful for Henreetta!

Thank you for reading the news today! p.s. check tomorrow for a big surprise!

BREAKING NEWS!

This just in! There is strange bug/fish creatures in our horse water! I couldn't catch one to take a picture because they were to fast. so I am going to describe it....It kinda has a mino body but it has a small head, it has legs but it uses its tiny tail to swim. it doesn't has fins but it has tiny tiny scales that look like a chicken scales on its foot. it is very strange and it is about a quarter size of an inch small. my brother caught one but put it back before I could snap a photo and I did notice that it used it leg to climb up his finger...CREEPY! and then there is two other very fast strange bugs they have a body the size of a penny and legs the length of an inch and it uses its legs to swim! Please comment if you know or if you think you know what these strange creatures are!

I wondered what made them like it so much down there and I found out what! There is a bunch of sweet green patch of grass and flowers in the field that they like to eat! So I picked a bunch of the grass (and flowers!) and made a little pile of it for each goat and tied it with another long piece of grass and put it at the top pasture and gave one to each goat and they loved it! The other news is that it has been SO hot here so I made a little swimming pool out of a bin cool and water and it was really nice to sit in for a few minutes and cool off, Next thing is we need some more comments on the mystery goat guess!

After charlies bath (see page above) He got really cute and fluffy! Here are some pictures of him drinking his breakfast. Oh! And I got some blur free pictures of him too! Enjoy!

He is hungry this morning!

I cant get enough of how cute he is!

A tiny bit of blur on him sorry!

Thanks for looking at his cute pictures! Now lets see the rest of the news for today!

A chicken roundup!
Ok here is a funny and confusing story. It starts with my dad telling me to put all the chickens in their pen so they don't lay  eggs in the pen and so they don't make a mess on the porch,  So I got a scoop of scratch (seeds)...

A scoop of seeds
Then I called the chickens in the pen and only some came so I threw some of the seeds out in the pen and they still didn't come! So I tried something different...

A scoop of dog
food! (They love it!)

So I threw some dog food out in the pen and they still didn't come! So there was only one more thing to do. I tried to catch them all and put them in with my hands! of course it didn't work so I just got some bread and threw it in and they all came in the pen! A job well done...

A odd thing in the chicken coop...
This morning when I went in the chicken coop to collect the eggs I saw A hen! Try to laugh this time...
A hen sitting on a shovel! XD

A goat make over!
That's right! Little Charlie had a make over today! The story starts with a bunch of mud on Charlie's body and stuck in his fluffy hair. My dad told me to give him a bath! I was so exited that I had in the warm tub in five minutes! Of course he hated it, What goat doesn't hate taking baths? Anyway I kinda did more than give him a bath, I dried his hair with my moms hair dryer and made his fur puff up like a fluffy ball and tied a cute little ribbon around his neck and he looked so cute! Here are some pictures of him. Enjoy!

So sorry about the blur he would not stay still!

He is so cute!!!
Here is a little bit of his cute little face!

Sorry about the blur he would not stay still! Any way hope you liked the cute pictures of him and see you next time!

Escape artist on the farm!
We have an escape artist on the farm! guess who it is? Yep! it is charlie the one month old baby goat! every time I leave the barn he slips out of the bar gate and stays in the barn until I get to the house and then he comes down and stands at the door and cries for us to come out of the house! I put a bucket where he gets out but he still manages to get out. One night he spent the night on our porch and cried in the morning for milk! I tried and tried and tried to stop him but he still gets out!
I will put more on when I find a way to keep him in. Anyway, here is the rest of the news for today! Enjoy :)

    A turkey attack.
Today when I was doing my chores a saw the turkeys running toward me so I  threw some seeds out to make them go there and they didn't go want to go any where and they were pecking at my boot and I couldn't get away so I really quickly ran away before they could peck me again.

Wonderful times in the pasture

A few days ago I went up to the barn to feed charlie and the pasture looked so beautiful I had to stay for a visit, so I finished feeding charlie, (the milk monster) and I went to the pasture to play. I found myself staying in the field for hours having a great time throwing the ball for samson and racing with him and lying in the nice cool grass looking at the clouds and watching the sunset. I named my nice little time in the pasture "sunny pastures" I hope to do it every day on the farm.

Thanks for reading the daily farm news! :)
