New camper!!
Hey everyone! We just bought a new camper! It is really really big and has plenty of room for us. We sold the old one, it was just too small, we didn't have any room. The new one is newer and much bigger with 3 slide outs, counter space (our old one didn't have any counter space!) and a built in safe. We are working on getting the mice out because we saw some mice droppings, cleaning the carpets, getting a new couch, fixing all the little problems, and moving in! We are not living in it forever, we are just living in it until we get our house built.

I have a fort! It is pretty big, and has a red picnic table that is just my size! It even has its own news and "To do" board! I am still working on it so when I get it finished, I will put pictures of it, and our camper on here! :-) All of our animals are doing good.

We just started our first "Hugel bed," a Hugel bed is a deep bed filled with dead, rotting wood buried under dirt, compost, straw, and hay, A hugel bed is hard work but a good way to grow healthy, fresh, fruits and vegetables. I will get pictures soon. We just planted garlic in it today! We are going to have a lot of them. And I would like to thank my Grandpa Maxwell for helping us with the camper today, and my brother, Brendon for digging us holes for our apple trees coming soon! I am really exited about moving into our camper, jumping on my trampoline, and playing in my club with my friends! I will definitely put picture up ASAP, so that's about it for the little farm news! Keep checking for those pictures! ~ Jordan

Thank you for reading the little farm news! Have a good day!

New News!
Hey everyone! I have some new news! I will now be trying to update at least every other day, I love my blog and I would really love to make it a blog that gets updated more often, so be checking everyday!
Also, say happy happy birthday to our sweet chicken pepper! she has an amazing story and I think she deserves to be on my blog...
So this is my chicken Pepper, she has an
amazing story, she survived a lot of pretty
tough things. So one day I was doing the chores when I heard
a chicken squawking. I knew something was wrong,
and our puppy Mack heard it too. If it was a chicken
being injured, Mack would attack the chicken, so I put him up,
and headed to the barn to find our guard dog Samson shaking
this poor chicken in his mouth, biting it and just being very viscous! I called Samson and he stopped attacking her,
and ran over. I called my dad and he picked up the chicken lying in the field. I thought she was dead but when he brought her over, she was alive! I found no wounds on her, or broken bones, so I gave her some water, and put her on the roost. Our chicken Bailey came right next to Pepper and just stayed with her, all night.  When I came to check on her in the morning, all the chickens were awake and ready for their scratch. Every chicken but Bailey and Pepper! They were still huddled together. I put my hand up to Pepper, because I noticed some dried blood on her, but Bailey pecked me as soon as I touched her! She didn't want me touching her friend, but I had to see her wound so i just went for it and grabbed Pepper. I checked where the blood was, and it was a deep gash in her neck! I brought her to my dad and he was surprised that she was still alive! We put some purple spray on her and that was all we could do, it was not bleeding and she just stayed with Bailey and they went and joined the other chickens who were eating scratch. After a couple of weeks, her wound healed and she is doing fine today! She and Bailey are still buddies and are happy as ever! So happy birthday Pepper! I love you!

I am back!!

Hey everyone! I am sorry I
haven't been posting, we moved and were very busy with packing and stuff, we moved into an RV on our land so we can build our house. The animals are all doing good! the dogs are all happy and the chickens and turkeys are enjoying pecking at fresh grass and finding bugs to eat, my friend Grace Kiker is so amazed that my 3 year old 4-H turkey Bridget is still alive! she is very fat and just wobbles around the farm, but our poor turkey, Tom has a huge lump on his face and we think it may be cancer :-(. we brought our horse Ginger to our land so I can ride her! we gave our other horse Annabelle to our friends though, Ginger is an awesome horse! she is very obedient and very gentle, I just figured out how to side step her! I ride her bareback with a halter or those orange hay strings and she does fine! and I can gallop on her without falling off. My birthday has passed and I am now 13! we went to the river for my birthday and I had fun! my friend Haydon chipped his tooth on a rock at the river though, but he got it fixed. We got a trampoline!! it is so so fun and I can land a front flip on it and I made up a couple of tricks like the steamroller, side bounce, knee flip, and my favorite one, "The Rocket!" now its time for pictures!!!
Our goats Bo and Cookie. (the others were a
little camera shy)
Mack, Our 1 year old pup.

Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!!!
Hi guys!
I am sorry I have not been posting more often like I said I would, I really have been busy, so I have a lot of stuff for everyone, so I hope you guys enjoy!!!!

Only 2 more days to vote on animal Vs animal so please comment! :D

              Chicks
I have been so bad at updating, that I forgot to tell everyone that we had chicks!!! we had maybe 15 or 10 eggs in  our incubator and only 3 chicks hatched, they hatched about a month ago and I had some pictures, but they are on my mom's phone and I can't figure out how to put them on here, but I have some pictures of them now and they are still SO cute! and they all have names...
This is the one and only rooster, Shilo!

                           Here is the top hen....
                        Amzie!!

                             And here is my sweet
                         little hen... Buttercup!

Shilo's personality is, shy, skittish and
he loves to go out on his own and explore!

Amzie is a little feisty, she is the most
curious, and she is not shy at all! she
                loves pecking, and scratching.

                  Buttercup is the most sweetest
animal you will ever meet! she loves to
cuddle and lay in your lap, she wouldn't stay
still in her picture so I had to hold her!

and that are all our chicks, now time for a new
part in my blog, it is called.....

                              Animal Vs Animal....
Animal Vs Animal is when I get 2 different types of animal, and figure out which one is better at doing something, for example......

                           Goat Vs Chicken  At pecking...

                        Goats...

Charlie is up first at pecking....

                     Chickens...
But the chickens peck like they
                     were born to peck!

and then its up to you guys to vote in the                                  comment section and I
see who is best at pecking, I think we all know that
chickens are better at pecking... so I announce the winner in the Vs page on the top of my blog. so thats how Animal Vs Animal works, so now lets see this weeks Vs

Dogs Vs goats At being silly

Goats...

AWWWW!

Dogs...

He is so funny!

Now please comment and vote for who you think
is funnier. Goats, or dogs.

Now for the rest of the news, it is
snowing!!!! it snowed today and the snow is perfect! I built up a
mound of snow and then got some spoons and stuff and carved it into a heart, I tried to do a dogs head, but the muzzle kept falling off, here is a picture of it!
It took about 10 minutes to carve it out.

that's all the news I have for everyone! keep checking for more updates! and don't forget to vote on goats Vs dogs on being silly!

Thank you for reading the little farm blog, please comment and continue to read it!

So so so so sorry that I haven't been posting!! :(
Hey everyone! I am very sorry that I haven't been posting. But I am back now!! And I will definitely be posting more often, so I am going to update everyone. First, Mack our puppy, (you can see him in the animal tab) he has gotten sooooo big! His birthday has passed and he is now 1 year old! He is so big and I can't carry him anymore :( but he has learned several tricks, such as sit pretty, which is when he puts his paws in the air. Weave, which is when he Criss-crosses in my legs. Shot gun is when he sits behind me, then when I say, Shot gun!!! he runs as fast as he can through my legs. He also knows a new trick, which is circle, has anyone seen western movies where there are two guys fighting, and one starts walking in one direction and the other one walks in the other direction so they are both walking in a circle? If you don't know what I am talking about then you need to watch more western movies! Well anyway that's what I taught Mack to do with me :D

Now I will update you guys on the chickens. We have started incubating!! My dad went into our bathroom (with me) and turned the lights off and shone a flashlight through the eggs and most of the chicken eggs have big dark spots that have blood vessels and are moving. The turkey eggs don't have anything in them :( I think they need to be incubated more than the chicken eggs, but the temperature needs to be 99 to 100 degrees and the humidity needs to be about 60%, I can't wait until they hatch!! (I will post pictures soon!!) Now the hens and roosters, they are doing good, but one very personal death has come, :'( Amelia, my favorite chicken that I literally grew up with has passed, R.I.P Amelia! I miss you! :'(
She is the red one.
Anyway, enough with the sadness, we are now getting about 4 eggs a day so our old hens need some young ones to help them out :) and that's why we are incubating.

Now the goats, The goats are doing great! They are getting their winter coats and they look so chubby and cute!! Samson has a little problem though, he won't eat his food, My Dad thinks that he doesn't like the flavor of the food, so tomorrow he is going to Tractor Supply to get different dog food.

Now the horses, They are good also! Anna Belle is good and is still a pasture ornament, Ginger is rideable but Anna freaks out whenever we try to ride her so my Dad is trying to sell her. :(

Now, I am not sure if I have told you yet, but we have bought a new property (a long long long time ago) and we are going to build a little house on it!! :D YAY!!! Anyway, we just put in our septic system and my dad took alot of pictures!! :D prepare to see nothing but pictures!!!  Displaying 20141109_145539.jpg My Mom wants everyone to know that she did most of the work :)
