                New Update!!

Hey Guys! I haven't updated in a while, and I'm sorry for that, but

I have a lot of new, exciting news!! So first, I'm not sure where I  left off, but we have been working on our house a lot.
it looks great and is almost done! Today we got the wood stove
in, and working, I got to light the first fire, and it works    like a charm! We can use it to cook things like eggs, pizza,
sausage, pancakes, and much more. My room has been painted my
favorite shade of blue: Calypso Blue. It's a bright and happy
color. We are using my room for storage now, but we have an
area where I can practice piano, and we are planning on moving
everything out and installing carpet soon! we have the kitchen
tiled, the fridge installed, and are getting ready to install
the oven, and dishwasher. We have my parents room mostly floored
and have the walls up textured, and painted. We are about 4 days
from moving in, and as soon as we do, I'll be getting 2 new
kittens! We will also be moving my horse, Ginger, to our house
so we can take care of her easier, and I'm planning on riding
her more in the summer. Mack is doing great! He's grown so
much since I last updated, he's about full grown now, and still
chubby and cute. Ginger is also going great, she just recently
got her hooves trimmed, and her shoes taken off. I'm also trying     to get her an appointment to get her teeth floated, so she can
eat her food easier. Bonnie is getting old, and can't go to
work with my dad anymore. 😞 But she has outlived every hound
in her litter! She still likes to run, and play, but not as
much anymore. All the chickens are doing fine! I entered 2
turkey's into the fair, and our wonderful neighbors bought,
and gave one of them back! I could only sell one, so I brought
home both of them. 😃 Samson is happy, and taking very good
care of the goats, I was watching him, and he really watches   everything around him, he waits for cars, and if the car is
one he has never seen before, he will bark at it until it
drives away. He also stops the goats from fighting too hard,
and makes sure the littlest goat doesn't go far outside the
fence. Our goats are doing great as well! We bought a new
little goat named Limerick (lim-rick) and she's the sweetest,
sassiest most curious little goat ever! She jumps, and gets
into everything, but she brings so much joy, and is ALWAYS,
happy and playful! She has a great personality. The rest of
the goats are doing great, they all have their winter coats
and look cute and chubby. 😃 Anyway, I'm sorry for not updating
more often, I'll definitely be trying to at least slip a
little update in every once and a while, including pictures.

Thank you all so much for reading my blog! It really
means a lot to me, and I really appreciate you guys
following my crazy life  ðŸ˜† anyway, thanks for reading

New update...
Hey everyone,
sorry I haven't been updating very often, but here is an update on everything. First of all... We bought a house! I know I probably said we were going to build a house, but my Mom saw that the house across the road was for sale, for only $90,000! So we bought it... It's definitely a "Fixer Upper" (anyone watch that show? :-D)but we are fixing it up and I am very very excited! It is a 3 bedroom and 2 bathroom, but we are putting a room in the garage, (I know, weird) and that will be my parents room, and I get one of the other 2 bedrooms! I am very happy we got it, and I know it will be an awesome house. It has a big hill, with lots of trees, and rocks, and plants, and it is just the best backyard ever!

All of our animals are doing good and...  Cookie Doe is pregnant!!!! If you don't know who Cookie Doe is... She is a goat, she can be mean sometimes, but not to us, just other goats, and our pup Mack. Speaking of Mack, he is growing up, but he is a big trouble maker. He sometimes runs away, he thinks the whole neighborhood is his back yard. He is not very violent with our animals, but sometimes barks at our goats and tries to play with them.

I got a drone! it is an X5C-1 Syma explorer. I got it yesterday, (Monday) and it is awesome, but... I was flying it and the wind took it and blew it up about 80 feet in the air and it landed in our neighbor's yard, so my dad is going to go ask the neighbor if we can go get it when he gets home, it is a big bummer, I only had it 11 hours, and only 4 hours was when I was awake. We are getting chicks!! Tractor Supply is getting chicks soon, and we are going to get Plymouth Rocks, also know as Barred Rocks, we have had this breed a long time, and they lay very good eggs, and a lot of them! We have 8 hens, and we get about 5 or 6  eggs a day, which is a good number of eggs to get during the winter.  I want to share a tip with anyone who has chickens... If any of your hens stop laying, sprinkle some Cayenne Pepper in their food and they will start laying again in about 1 or 2 days. I know its spicy (my Dad dared me to sprinkle some on my tongue) but chickens apparently can't taste the spicy, so it really works!
And yes Grace... Brigit is still alive and well!:-) Unfortunately, our Bourbon Red Tom (Tom is his name) has cancer on his face, is deaf, and is going blind :-( we are probably going to put him down, he is suffering and there is no way he is going to get better. :`(  In case you are wondering, the new page on my blog at the top of the page, that says, "Personalities!" is a page where I describe each of our animals personalities. We have 8 chickens (no roosters) 4 goats, 1 horse, 3 turkey's, 3 dogs, and we are about to get some chicks, and now is when I tell you... We are getting a cat!!! in 2 months we are going to find a kitten to be an outside cat, to catch mice. I LOVE cats, we had one named Sarge, but he ran away when we moved to our last house, but we are getting another one and I am so so excited! Below is a page of what we will name it depending on what color it is and gender...

Black Female: Shadow
Black Male: Shadow
White Female: Angel
White Male: Ninja
Black and White Female: Reese
Black and White Male: Aspen

New camper!!
Hey everyone! We just bought a new camper! It is really really big and has plenty of room for us. We sold the old one, it was just too small, we didn't have any room. The new one is newer and much bigger with 3 slide outs, counter space (our old one didn't have any counter space!) and a built in safe. We are working on getting the mice out because we saw some mice droppings, cleaning the carpets, getting a new couch, fixing all the little problems, and moving in! We are not living in it forever, we are just living in it until we get our house built.

I have a fort! It is pretty big, and has a red picnic table that is just my size! It even has its own news and "To do" board! I am still working on it so when I get it finished, I will put pictures of it, and our camper on here! :-) All of our animals are doing good.

We just started our first "Hugel bed," a Hugel bed is a deep bed filled with dead, rotting wood buried under dirt, compost, straw, and hay, A hugel bed is hard work but a good way to grow healthy, fresh, fruits and vegetables. I will get pictures soon. We just planted garlic in it today! We are going to have a lot of them. And I would like to thank my Grandpa Maxwell for helping us with the camper today, and my brother, Brendon for digging us holes for our apple trees coming soon! I am really exited about moving into our camper, jumping on my trampoline, and playing in my club with my friends! I will definitely put picture up ASAP, so that's about it for the little farm news! Keep checking for those pictures! ~ Jordan

Thank you for reading the little farm news! Have a good day!

New News!
Hey everyone! I have some new news! I will now be trying to update at least every other day, I love my blog and I would really love to make it a blog that gets updated more often, so be checking everyday!
Also, say happy happy birthday to our sweet chicken pepper! she has an amazing story and I think she deserves to be on my blog...
So this is my chicken Pepper, she has an
amazing story, she survived a lot of pretty
tough things. So one day I was doing the chores when I heard
a chicken squawking. I knew something was wrong,
and our puppy Mack heard it too. If it was a chicken
being injured, Mack would attack the chicken, so I put him up,
and headed to the barn to find our guard dog Samson shaking
this poor chicken in his mouth, biting it and just being very viscous! I called Samson and he stopped attacking her,
and ran over. I called my dad and he picked up the chicken lying in the field. I thought she was dead but when he brought her over, she was alive! I found no wounds on her, or broken bones, so I gave her some water, and put her on the roost. Our chicken Bailey came right next to Pepper and just stayed with her, all night.  When I came to check on her in the morning, all the chickens were awake and ready for their scratch. Every chicken but Bailey and Pepper! They were still huddled together. I put my hand up to Pepper, because I noticed some dried blood on her, but Bailey pecked me as soon as I touched her! She didn't want me touching her friend, but I had to see her wound so i just went for it and grabbed Pepper. I checked where the blood was, and it was a deep gash in her neck! I brought her to my dad and he was surprised that she was still alive! We put some purple spray on her and that was all we could do, it was not bleeding and she just stayed with Bailey and they went and joined the other chickens who were eating scratch. After a couple of weeks, her wound healed and she is doing fine today! She and Bailey are still buddies and are happy as ever! So happy birthday Pepper! I love you!

I am back!!

Hey everyone! I am sorry I
haven't been posting, we moved and were very busy with packing and stuff, we moved into an RV on our land so we can build our house. The animals are all doing good! the dogs are all happy and the chickens and turkeys are enjoying pecking at fresh grass and finding bugs to eat, my friend Grace Kiker is so amazed that my 3 year old 4-H turkey Bridget is still alive! she is very fat and just wobbles around the farm, but our poor turkey, Tom has a huge lump on his face and we think it may be cancer :-(. we brought our horse Ginger to our land so I can ride her! we gave our other horse Annabelle to our friends though, Ginger is an awesome horse! she is very obedient and very gentle, I just figured out how to side step her! I ride her bareback with a halter or those orange hay strings and she does fine! and I can gallop on her without falling off. My birthday has passed and I am now 13! we went to the river for my birthday and I had fun! my friend Haydon chipped his tooth on a rock at the river though, but he got it fixed. We got a trampoline!! it is so so fun and I can land a front flip on it and I made up a couple of tricks like the steamroller, side bounce, knee flip, and my favorite one, "The Rocket!" now its time for pictures!!!
Our goats Bo and Cookie. (the others were a
little camera shy)
Mack, Our 1 year old pup.

Bridget, our fat turkey.
Our goat/chicken/turkey barn
Me Galloping Ginger
Me doing a front flip on the trampoline
Me giving Ginger a treat.

And now its time for... Animal vs Animal!
In running,

Ginger is up first! and she is flying!
But Luke is running with power!

Now its your time to vote in the comment area and please let me know who you think should win! I would like to announce that I have 2,105 views! so I want to tell everyone thank you for reading my blog and keep looking for updates!!

Hey Everyone!!!!!!!!!!
Hi guys!
I am sorry I have not been posting more often like I said I would, I really have been busy, so I have a lot of stuff for everyone, so I hope you guys enjoy!!!!

Only 2 more days to vote on animal Vs animal so please comment! :D

              Chicks
I have been so bad at updating, that I forgot to tell everyone that we had chicks!!! we had maybe 15 or 10 eggs in  our incubator and only 3 chicks hatched, they hatched about a month ago and I had some pictures, but they are on my mom's phone and I can't figure out how to put them on here, but I have some pictures of them now and they are still SO cute! and they all have names...
This is the one and only rooster, Shilo!

                           Here is the top hen....
                        Amzie!!

                             And here is my sweet
                         little hen... Buttercup!

Shilo's personality is, shy, skittish and
he loves to go out on his own and explore!

Amzie is a little feisty, she is the most
curious, and she is not shy at all! she
                loves pecking, and scratching.

                  Buttercup is the most sweetest
animal you will ever meet! she loves to
cuddle and lay in your lap, she wouldn't stay
still in her picture so I had to hold her!

and that are all our chicks, now time for a new
part in my blog, it is called.....

                              Animal Vs Animal....
Animal Vs Animal is when I get 2 different types of animal, and figure out which one is better at doing something, for example......

                           Goat Vs Chicken  At pecking...

                        Goats...

Charlie is up first at pecking....

                     Chickens...
But the chickens peck like they
                     were born to peck!

and then its up to you guys to vote in the                                  comment section and I
see who is best at pecking, I think we all know that
chickens are better at pecking... so I announce the winner in the Vs page on the top of my blog. so thats how Animal Vs Animal works, so now lets see this weeks Vs

Dogs Vs goats At being silly

Goats...

AWWWW!

Dogs...

He is so funny!

Now please comment and vote for who you think
is funnier. Goats, or dogs.

Now for the rest of the news, it is
snowing!!!! it snowed today and the snow is perfect! I built up a
mound of snow and then got some spoons and stuff and carved it into a heart, I tried to do a dogs head, but the muzzle kept falling off, here is a picture of it!
It took about 10 minutes to carve it out.

that's all the news I have for everyone! keep checking for more updates! and don't forget to vote on goats Vs dogs on being silly!

Thank you for reading the little farm blog, please comment and continue to read it!

So so so so sorry that I haven't been posting!! :(
Hey everyone! I am very sorry that I haven't been posting. But I am back now!! And I will definitely be posting more often, so I am going to update everyone. First, Mack our puppy, (you can see him in the animal tab) he has gotten sooooo big! His birthday has passed and he is now 1 year old! He is so big and I can't carry him anymore :( but he has learned several tricks, such as sit pretty, which is when he puts his paws in the air. Weave, which is when he Criss-crosses in my legs. Shot gun is when he sits behind me, then when I say, Shot gun!!! he runs as fast as he can through my legs. He also knows a new trick, which is circle, has anyone seen western movies where there are two guys fighting, and one starts walking in one direction and the other one walks in the other direction so they are both walking in a circle? If you don't know what I am talking about then you need to watch more western movies! Well anyway that's what I taught Mack to do with me :D

Now I will update you guys on the chickens. We have started incubating!! My dad went into our bathroom (with me) and turned the lights off and shone a flashlight through the eggs and most of the chicken eggs have big dark spots that have blood vessels and are moving. The turkey eggs don't have anything in them :( I think they need to be incubated more than the chicken eggs, but the temperature needs to be 99 to 100 degrees and the humidity needs to be about 60%, I can't wait until they hatch!! (I will post pictures soon!!) Now the hens and roosters, they are doing good, but one very personal death has come, :'( Amelia, my favorite chicken that I literally grew up with has passed, R.I.P Amelia! I miss you! :'(
She is the red one.
Anyway, enough with the sadness, we are now getting about 4 eggs a day so our old hens need some young ones to help them out :) and that's why we are incubating.

Now the goats, The goats are doing great! They are getting their winter coats and they look so chubby and cute!! Samson has a little problem though, he won't eat his food, My Dad thinks that he doesn't like the flavor of the food, so tomorrow he is going to Tractor Supply to get different dog food.

Now the horses, They are good also! Anna Belle is good and is still a pasture ornament, Ginger is rideable but Anna freaks out whenever we try to ride her so my Dad is trying to sell her. :(

Now, I am not sure if I have told you yet, but we have bought a new property (a long long long time ago) and we are going to build a little house on it!! :D YAY!!! Anyway, we just put in our septic system and my dad took alot of pictures!! :D prepare to see nothing but pictures!!!  Displaying 20141109_145539.jpg My Mom wants everyone to know that she did most of the work :)

Spring time!!
spring time here on the farm is just beautiful and warm! there is green grass EVERYWHERE and I don't have to wear a coat any more! I went swimming in our little pond and it was so warm! Brandye and Katrina won the fun post yesterday so Brandye suggested I wrote about spring time on the farm and I am more than happy to tell everyone about it! first, thank you Brandye for suggesting this post! it was a wonderful Idea! now I will begin to tell you about spring time on the farm! first, there is a family of birds that just moved into our bird house about 3 weeks ago! they built a nest in the bird house and are starting to begin a new family with lots of baby birds! I love to sit out on a rock in the sun and watch them work on there nest! also our chickens are MUCH more happier in the sun witch also means that they are laying twice as much eggs! yummy! as I said the grass is no longer dead, its alive! the baby goats get to play in the green grass in the sun and eat grass and spend precious time with there mothers! there is no more snow at all! and flowers have bloomed in our back yard! its a sight that could take your breath away! no more snow or ice, no more coats or gloves no more gray skys or slushy muddy roads! now its time to get the sun block out and go have a picnic in the green grass with the goats!  we have been going on lots and lots of hikes now that the sun is out! me and my dad are planing to go on a goat camping trip soon too! the only bad thing about spring is when you try to go out and smell the flowers, my enemy comes out and trys to sting you! it is black and yellow and makes honey! Yes! bees! I do not like bees one bit! I got stung like 1000 times by going down to pick flowers last summer and it was not fun at all! so now I bring a fly swatter and bug spray and a roll of news paper down with me and if I see one bee I run back up to the house! now enough about bees! D: lets begin the news for today! :D it is a very bright day with birds singing:D and bees buzzing D: things up at the barn and good and chickens get to free range and peck at the grass and chase grass hoppers! I don't want to make this post too long because my thumbs hurt from typing so much:( so I am going to close this and I would expect another post!
